5 Stars Plague Ship
It’s Cussler. It’s the Oregon Files. It’s just what an avid reader needs. My only concern is, sometime new ones will stop coming.
5 Stars Cussler hits one over the center field fence!
I have read most of Cussler’s nail biters and by far, he’s outdone himself with the help of Jack Du Brul. What amazes me is the depth of accuracy and attention to detail he gives down to the tiniest “fact”. I consider myself a fairly good Trivia fan, and “Google” a lot of what I don’t recognize. This guy is a walking Wikkipedia! He neatly bundles up each and every sidebar, sometimes waiting to the last page. In Plague Ship, you have to wait until the last 150 words to find out what happened to Kyle, the young man who was kidnapped by the bioterrorist cult.
You know the story line by reading the other reviews. But this one does what the others couldn’t quite do. If you try reading it at work, you’ll get into trouble with your boss! You can’t put it down, even though you know from experience the way Cussler’s books always end.
4 Stars Entertaining & action packed — classic Cussler
Clive Cussler and Jack Du Brul collaborate on the next in a great series from the high seas. In “Plague Ship”, the one-legged hero Jose Cabrillo and the crew of the Oregon discover a derelict ship filled with corpses. During an investigation of the ship, the crew of the Oregon find a sole survivor and work to discover the cause of the mysterious attack.
The book opens with a signature Cussler chapter describing a catastrophe from the past that has ramifications far into the future. A Luftwaffe reconnaissance plane crash lands in Norway following a mission to locate an allied convoy headed for England. Cussler and Du Brul weave a fantastic plot to keep the reader’s interest piqued.
The main villain in the book is Thom Severance and the group, Revisionists, who believe the key to saving the planet is to practice population control. Jose Cabrillo and the crew chase the Revisionists around the world to stop the evil plot.
The book is classic Cussler - well-researched, plausible, action packed, & entertaining. It was a great book to read on a round trip flight between DC and Los Angeles.
4 Stars Plague Ship
The Oregon Files reminds me of the old Clive Cussler’s story telling. I had grown tired of alot of his work without his old heros. The Oregon Files is the shot in the arm it needed to bring back Clive Cussler into my top ten authors.
4 Stars Plague Ship
Very well written, with much research to appear realistic.
However, the main characters always survive in virtually impossible ways.
Makes exciting reading to the very end of the book. Clive Cussler is a master at creating these fictional stories.

5 Stars A Must Have for Anyone Who Travels!!!
This book is a gold mine! Do your self a favor and buy one for yourself and a few more to have on hand for gifts in the future!!! I consider myself pretty well organized when it comes to travel with our son, but this book gave me so many more ideas and tips. Well worth it, and enjoyable to read!
5 Stars A must-read before you travel overseas with a baby!
I recently purchased several books on traveling with children, and this was by far the best. By the time I finished the book, I had several pages of notes written down, including things to pack that I never thought of, things to do before I go, products to check out and websites to visit. Reading this book has made me feel much more prepared and less nervous for my upcoming trip to France with a 15 month old, and I am confident that our trip can only go smoother having read this one!
5 Stars For Families on the Go!
A must-have resource for families on the go. Interesting reading and packed with helpful tips. Easy-to-use charts to help families find the best airlines, ships, etc. for their specific needs. Perfect gift for parents of young children!
5 Stars This book ROCKS!!!
Seriously, this is a travel bible for new parents. What a huge help this book has been from selecting a good stroller (wished we would have found this BEFORE we had our baby for car seat info too!) to calling ahead to find out if a hotel has a crib saving our trunk space from a pack and play or other. Prepping the diaper bag and carry ons have never been simpler and I have memorized the shopping list for baby must haves while traveling. Never would have thought of some of that stuff! The blog is excellent too. Please give this gift to new mommies and daddies with your baby shower gift…I am so grateful for the different age sections and different types of travel reviews. Thank you Ms. Rivoli!
5 Stars Great help for parents traveling with children
I’m flying to Europe alone with my 18 mo old daughter next month and I found this book to be a great help in preparing for the trip. It contains a lot of useful information, tips, and things I would’ve completely overlooked had I not read this book.

Ghosts of the Abyss

Walt Disney Pictures and James Cameron, the Academy Award(R)-winning director of TITANIC (1997), present the groundbreaking cinematic achievement GHOSTS OF THE ABYSS. Joined by his personal friend Bill Paxton (TITANIC) and a team of the world’s foremost history and marine experts, Cameron journeys back to the site of his greatest inspiration — the legendary wreck of the Titanic. During the voyage, you will explore the entire ship, deck by deck, room by room, encountering mysteries that have remained hidden for almost a century. 5 Stars Awesome
I’m pretty much obsessed with Titanic and other shipwrecks. This movie was very cool. Nothing was taken from the wreck and it provides a great view into something that we will not be able to see anytime we want.
4 Stars A fascinating trip to the Titanic
What made this so interesting was the march of technology - New was a huge light (requiring another ship) called Medussa that was lowered 12,000 feet over the ship. They also had digital recreations on the wreck of the original structure superimposed…
The bridge (among several areas) came to life when they used this digital recreation.
They also brought 2 remotely piloted robotic cameras named Jake and Elwood (Blues Brothers fans I would assume!) that took you into the interior of the ship.
There was some sadness even today when you saw a woman’s still laced shoe and realizing that the body was long gone…
This is one DvD that doesn’t stay in the shelf long - I have watched it repeatedly.
And I saw the tie in to Cameron’s 1997 movie when I realized that this Russian deep sea exploration ship was the same one they used in the 1997 movie…
5 Stars Excellent and informative.
Excellent and informative documentary. Underwater filming was beautiful. My daughter loved it.
5 Stars Amazing footage for the shipwreck that is the TITANIC
Follow director James Cameron as he dives into the deep ocean dephs to find the famous shipwreck that is the TITANIC. Cameron’s film shows footage that has never been seen before. Watch Cameron and his crew dive all the way to the ship that was supposed to be UNSINKABLE. Cameron takes you on a jouney that you will never forget! He and his crew take you to the Grand Staircase, Molly Brown’s State Room and other places that have not been seen before. When James Cameron and his crew are exploring the Titanic they end up loosing both of their robots that go inside the ship. They eventully find their robots and return to the surface from exploring the greatest shipwreck of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5 Stars Ghosts of the Abyss
Great Film. The insertion of people walking the decks once again puts the Titanic in the first person.
